I've been going to the AV Performance Tennis Club in Bellevue, Washington since it opened a couple years ago. It is unique in the Seattle area for the types of tennis programs it offers. Where most clubs offer the standard group instruction that differ very little from place to place, AVPTC's programs are diverse.

I attended the 2010 BNP Paribas Open as a member of the press. I tweeted live from the event (@TennisCrowd), took photos, and wrote about the matches. It's my goal to cover the event each year.

Valentine's Day - in fact romance in general - is all about red roses, candlelit dinners and strolls along the beach, right? Well, for some people it is. But is it for the tennis players on the WTA? We caught up with some of our stars to find out what they think makes the perfect date (and how they intend to spend Valentine's Day this year).

Calling foot faults is tough at the amateur level. First of all, it's difficult to see completely clearly that an opponent is certainly foot-faulting. In doubles, it's slightly easier to watch for, but still difficult to call.

The Beatles Rock Band is quite possibly the most artistically beautiful video game ever made. It's striking. From the opening vignette, to the storyline transitions, to the in-song animations. Truly incredible and captivating. And what makes this even more amazing is that in most music simulation games, you're entirely fixated on scrolling dots.
